Welcome! Are you wanting to learn more about Homeschooling in North Carolina?
Families will find it quite simple and rewarding to homeschool in this beautiful, coastal state!
The North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE) has just three basic requirements to adhere to
after submitting your Notice of Intent to Operate a Home School:

1. Track student attendance & provide instruction for at least nine months of the year.
2. Administer a nationally standardized achievement test o nce a year.
3. Keep an Immunization Record (or Medical/Religious Exemption) for each student.

Families in southeast North Carolina have access to many local resources for support on their

homeschooling journey. Children and their caregivers will have many opportunities to build new

friendships, immerse themselves in their community like never before, and to create a multitude of long lasting
